The hap's....... :)

Well quite a bit has happened since my last post.
Here is a quick update:

*We got to spend the day with Brent's very first companion from the MTC, Kevin and his wife Julia, who saved for three years to come here! They are from Austria, and pretty much the coolest people I have ever met! We took them to the SLC Cemetary to see the graves of the prophets graves, and we took paper and crayons so they could make "copies" of the headstone engraving. They loved it! It was a really spiritual experience for us all. Then we took them to Applebees. Kevin wanted an "American Steak", granted it probably wasn't the best place for that but it was cheap... ha. He also loved the fact that you could get free refills of soda. He absolutely LOVES Rootbeer so it was a dream come true! We enjoyed each others company while eating, and then we headed to the Bee's Baseball game. They didn't really know the rules of baseball so we explained the best we could. The best was singing "Take me out to the Ball game" and having them look confused. They video taped us singing. What better way to spend your time in America then to go to a classic Baseball game! It was sad to say goodbye, but we have Facebook to keep in touch, and we plan on going over to Europe to visit them. What a great experience!

* Brent went to his first full-time training meeting(having not yet gone through all the training and not officially full-time yet), and when he got back to work, the Area V.P. called his Manager and told him how impressed he was with Brent and his knowledge, that he told the manager that Brent would be promoted to full-time on Sept. 12th. The manager kept telling Brent how awesome that was. I am so proud of my husband! It is a huge blessing right now! Having been super tight with money, his monthly income will double. Having faith in the Lord and paying tithing truly does bring miracles!

*I was asked to be a Visiting Teacher. Not a huge deal but its my first calling in our ward. I love the people in our ward. You can feel the love they have for everyone there. Its amazing.

*We have been stressing on how to pay for my $800 books for school. I got financial aid which paid tuition, and the kit needed, but how to get the money for the books was so frustrating. Well, we had had a few of Brent's things listed on KSL and we hadn't had people calling, which was frustrating to Brent. Well last week someone bought a set of his tires that was listed, and he got a bonus check. So we had some of the money for the books, but not enough. Well just last night, he got a call about his trailer. I was at work and had sent him a text asking if they bought it. But they still hadn't come to look. But right as I pulled up to my in-laws house after work I noticed the trailer was no longer in the driveway! What a huge blessing! We now have enough! On top of that I received a check from Gap from when I worked there a while ago. Good things do happen when you have faith! I cannot tell you how much joy I have had this week. A huge burden has been lifted off our shoulders.

*In less than a month it will be our 1 year anniversary! I love my husband with all my heart! He is my best friend and does everything in his power to help me and us out. I am so so blessed to have him in my life!

*I also love my family! They are such great examples to me! I love them! I am also so grateful to have been married into a great family! I am just so lucky!

Well that's about it! I hope you all have a great first week back to school! I know I am looking forward to starting school, and learning about something that I love!
