Birthdays, Sundays, and Families

Ah! What a beautiful day it was today! The sun was shining, the weather is warm(ish) and its just a wonderful Sunday! I'm so grateful to be surrounded by beautiful scenery everywhere I go. And so grateful its finally starting to feel like spring! Today we are having a combined family birthday party for the March birthdays at the in-laws. Tiff's was on Friday (11th) Mine is on Tuesday (15th) and Brian's is on the 26th. And what better way to enjoy the weather than to have a BBQ, with my fav.... Hot dogs. Yes. I love hot dogs. Sue me. Its going to be a good birthday week. Tomorrow night we are going to eat at Hoppers with Team Awesome(our amazing friends who we do alot with; jeeping, go out to eat, frisbee, improv... and lots more.), Tuesday I'm not really sure what we are doing, but I have the day off so hopefully something epic, Wednesday is our friends Improv show which we never miss!, Thursday I'm not sure.... Friday a wedding reception and a St. Patrick's Day party! A pretty full and fun packed week.

OH! And we got the apartment we wanted! Its in the complex called Santa Fe, in the Ft. Union area. It has washer and dryer hookups, room for a kitchen table and just way more room than our apartment now. Its really nice, two swimming pools, a theater room, three laundry facilities, and located right by tons of shopping/restaurants. We move in April 19th and can't wait!

Today in Stake Conference, the Patriarch spoke. He spoke of the power of the priesthood and Patriarchal blessings. And how as he has been appointed this calling, its been so humbling and wonderful to be apart of so many wonderful blessings. I have yet received mine, as I have not felt really ready to receive it. I'm getting so much closer and listening to him today just made me want to work harder so I can receive this sacred blessing. I'm so glad to be apart of this wonderful church that has so many inspired men who hold the priesthood. This truly is a true church. I'm so grateful for our Prophet, President Monson, who is the mouth piece of the Lord on the Earth, who leads and guides us today. He truly is the living prophet, who was called of God. I'm also grateful to have such a wonderful family, and to have married into an amazing one as well. They all help me become better. They listen to me when I have fears, doubts or just need someone to vent to or talk to. They are my friends as well as my family. They accept me for who I am and I don't need to pretend to be someone I'm not. I'm so grateful for all that they have done for me, spoken or not; hugs, a simple text that says "Jesus Loves you", smiles, laughter, inside jokes that make us laugh til we cry, picking me up or dropping me off at work, sharing food/meals, girls nights, letting me spend the night, letting me vent, listening, caring, and etc... And just being so wonderful! I love you Garison, Leyba, DeBry, Jessop, Harris, and Bowen families, Thank you for being you and loving me despite my faults!
